Sunday = Productive as Crap!!!

As predicted I did not run yesterday but I did today. Yesterday just was busy and by the time I got time by myself I just wanted to sleep and watch TV. Lazy. But today I made sure I got crap done.

I cleaned my house, did laundry, had birthday lunch with the girls, and got my run in.

It is getting better and better.

I find that I want to run fast at the beginning. But my body is telling my brain to fuck off. Cuz in reality I crap out not in 5 minutes in. But with this slower pace I can do almost 10 minutes.

Super excited about this!!!

Now the test will be if I can keep it up during the week.

Fingers crossed.

But I won't get mad at myself if I can't get it done. As long as I try.

Restart - Again

I am starting my running health journey again. Life is slowing down, and I need to do this for myself. I deserve to feel good about myself. Running helps me clear my head and just listen to the music and my feet hitting the treadmill or pavement.  So here we go.  My friend said if you are starting again to try just going for a specific time and not worry about miles, that it will come in time. Bump up the time you run little by little.  So I did that today. Ran almost for 10 minutes straight. After not running for almost six months, this surprised me! I am so proud of myself. I'd I make myself do it every day or at least 5 times a week, I think I can be better than I was. I will use this to make myself accountable. Let's do this!!!

Better Late Than Never

Hi!  *waves frantically* I'm Pam. I live in South Louisiana.  I work full time, teach figure skating four nights a week, help my husband run his remodeling business, and help run a figure skating program at our local rink. I'm a busy girl.  I make time to hang out with my hubby, our dog and cat, and spend time with family and friends.  However, I don't make time for me. Yup, me time gets put to the side for everything and everyone else.  I have a hard time telling anyone no.  So staying fit or active has just not been a priority in my life for about 10 years. Over the years I have tried multiple times to have a consistent running/fitness schedule  But I have always done every excuse in the book as to why I can't run that day. It is raining. I'm tired from coaching and working. It is too cold out. (It is 30 degrees out.  Before you mock, 30 in the South is cold with the added humidity.  I know. I grew up in Minnesota.) It is too hot ...
